Last-minute nervositeit is heel normaal!
Waarom aanraken en knuffelen?

What is a Cuddle Workshop?
A Cuddle Workshop is a workshop that focuses on loving touch. Most people love to connect, but often they don't get to it as much as they would like. Many people also find it exciting to touch and be touched. This workshop offers a solution for this, by creating an environment in which people feel safe to connect and cuddle with each other. Before, during and after a Cuddle Workshop we stay out of sexuality. In our experience, this allows people to relax and surrender even further, because they know that nothing is expected of them.
At a Cuddle Workshop we touch and cuddle. However, cuddling is not the only thing we do. We offer exercises to make real contact with yourself and with others. This can be a meditation, dancing alone or together, playing, meeting each other, we can go in many directions and each workshop is different. You decide how intense an evening is. Some people love it and dive deep into it, to experience the workshop on a pink cloud. Others find it a bit more exciting and take it easy. Both are fine.
During a workshop there is a lot of space to touch and to be touched lovingly. We always start with a moment to come to ourselves and to let go of all the hustle and stress of everyday life. From there we make connect with ourselves and with others through exercises. For example by taking turns caressing each other's hands. If you don't want to do something you don't have to. We usually end up in a 'puppy pile', where everyone lies through and over each other. You decide how much contact you want, by lying in the middle or on the side.
Every Cuddle Workshop is different. The structure is the same, but the exercises we do are different. Sometimes the emphasis is on dancing, on meeting, on letting go of our thinking by being blindfolded. We try to find a good mix of exercises that fit the moment and the group. Also, the group is different every time. The people who come are generally very warm and open to others. The atmosphere during the workshop is very warm and the objection not knowing anyone yet, changes very quickly.

Why touch and cuddle?
Touching and cuddling makes us feel better and happier. Why is that? Humans are social beings. We can do a lot ourselves, but to feel good, we also need others. To hold us, to tickle, to stroke, to lie nicely against each other. While touching, we also create hormones that makes us feel good. The most important of these is oxytocin, also called "cuddle hormone".
Oxytocin causes us to behave more social, feel better, stress reduces, our blood pressure drops and our digestion improves. Many people have a life full of stress. Touching and cuddling can be a very good way to reduce the experienced stress. The production of oxytocin also enhances the production of other substances that make you feel good, such as serotonin, the "happiness hormone".
By cuddling a lot, you strengthen the connections with people around you and you experience more connection. Many people find cuddling exciting, wich makes them do less than they would like. A Connective Workshop can help to bridge that threshold and learn to relax more when touching and cuddling.
